“Breaking NORMS, No Limits ” Issue with Elli AvRram

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH Elli AvRram

How did you transition from being a model and actress in Sweden to Bollywood?

What were the biggest challenges and opportunities you faced?

It was like jumping into a Bollywood dream—exciting and terrifying! I was 6 when I discovered Bollywood on Swedish television,

and Instantly felt a connection with India, its culture and the vibrant films.

The biggest challenge? Navigating all alone, far away from my family in a new country and industry.

But the opportunity to go for my childhood dream, live my passion and dance to desi beats made it all worth it.

What has been the most memorable experience in your Bollywood career so far?

Are there any specific roles or projects that you’re particularly proud of?

When I finally signed my first Bollywood film, Mickey Virus as main lead.

I still remember calling up my parents and telling them, ‘I did it’ my dream has come true! Participating on Big Boss is also something

I’ll always remember, because of the friends I made and the love and acceptance India gave me.

Hands down getting to dance along side Aamir Khan in Har funn Maula.

And yes, playing Jessie in Malang was a proud moment—it let me showcase a raw, edgy side of me as an actor.

Getting to play the role of Madhuri opposite Dhanush in my south debut ‘Naane Varuvean’ is also an unforgettable moment in my career so far!

How has your multicultural background influenced your acting style and perspective on life?

Have you faced any cultural challenges while working in Bollywood?

Has become my superpower! Growing up in Sweden taught me discipline and keeping a straight forward attitude.

My Greek upbringing have given me lot of strong family values, and India has taught me that there’s a solution to everything!

So I’m a blend of fire and ice, which shapes both my acting and my outlook on life.

Given that Hindi isn’t your first language, how did you overcome the language barrier and perfect your Hindi accent for your roles?

Oh, the struggle was real! I’d watch Hindi films with subtitles, record myself speaking dialogues, and practice non-stop. Now I can rap in Hindi too!

You maintain a stunning physique. What is your fitness routine like? Do you follow any specific diet or wellness practices?

It’s a mix of kickboxing, pilates and dancing. Dancing is my therapy, I get into trance sometimes when I dance by myself in my livingroom.

My diet? Balanced and guilt-free. Cheat day = pasta, pizza and desi chai. Life’s too short for boring food!

Can you share any upcoming projects or roles that you’re excited about?

Are there any specific genres or characters you’d like to explore in the future?

Something exciting is cooking, but I can’t spill the beans yet. As for dream roles—maybe a quirky superhero or a historical queen? Bring it on!

Are there any social causes or issues that you’re passionate about? How do you use your platform to create a positive impact?

Dancing with kids from an NGO was pure joy! Watching them perform with such passion was incredible.

I believe dance is the best form of self-expression, and if I’ve inspired them to pursue it further, I’m truly grateful.

Moments like these are why I love what I do!

What are your thoughts on the current state of the Bollywood industry? Do you believe it’s evolving in the right direction?

Bollywood is evolving beautifully—stories are bolder, roles are deeper, and inclusivity is growing. It’s a great time to be part of this industry.

How do you balance your professional commitments with your personal life? What do you do to unwind and relax?

It’s tricky but doable! Meditation and time with my fur babies keep me sane. And when I really need a break, you’ll find me on a vacation somewhere not reachable!

What do you enjoy most about interacting with your fans? Do you have any memorable fan experiences to share?

The love I get is overwhelming. On my 25th birthday three fans had together,

made beautiful pink 25 different cards with my photos from special moments of my life,

with written notes on the side. It made me cry so much because I felt as if I have three angel sisters in india,

far away from me, but who are yet so close, knowing me in and out!

Honestly, my fans are my extended family—they’re the wind beneath my Bollywood wings.
